At the age of 2 Bill drew upside down Native American Indians starting with their feathers.

Bill has been creative since then. At junior school he made chimpanzees out of plasticine then interrupted the teacher so the whole class could look at them. Aged 10 he won a competition for his puppet of an Egyptian Mummy with blood running down its face and body.

Bill carved a Hobbit out of log brought down at Lincoln's Inn Fields during the storms for his children and carved a Native American Indian from Branches turning it into a statue for the garden. He has made toys for his children including a car, a swing, 2 Farms, 3 Zoos  a large Jurassic Park, a Star Wars display, a Windmill that worked with a toy car engine, and designed and made Christmas Top Hats & decorations. Bill also designed then built an Egyptian Room and then painted Osiris and others on the walls. He also enjoyed building a large raised  pond then painted fishes on the outside of it. He loves working with wood.

Bill devoted himself for 39 years to being a public servant working for the High Court's Chancery Division and Court of Appeal when Lord Denning was Master Of the Rolls and latterly the Court of Protection (under Senior Judge Lush) whose wonderful staff manage the affairs of vulnerable clients including children. Bill was also one of 5 part time Theatre Managers at Epsom Playhouse for 5 years where he met many famous people including Norman Wisdom, Chris Packham, Frankie Vaughan, Frankie Howard, Danny La Rue, Ken Dod and John Altman (Nick Cotton- who is a wonderful person -unlike his TV role).

Many paintings were given away to friends over many years. Hopefully  Bill can now have a new life trying to develop as a novelist and portrait artist. He has recently undertaken a couple of commissions for a wedding and for friends and donated a painting to his Church. He has also donated a painting of an elephant to a little girl who needed funds for an operation for her cerebral palsy. She has had the operation and is doing well.

Bill is also interested in spiritual matters and has written a book on his experiences. In his view life is not about amassing possessions but how we treat other people with our words & actions and with the  thoughts we send out. He knows we are all on a spiritual path, all live forever and all are responsible for their actions and words.

Bill has written 5 thrillers for children; unsurprisingly adults have also enjoyed them . Two are now published.

My very creative mother,Pamela Lilian Webster, who has always been a better artist than I ever shall be, made me my complete outfit and the soft toy in the wheelbarrow.
